President of the European Council Charles Michel and Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, discussed the upcoming first-ever EU-GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) Summit, Report informs.
Michel stressed that the Qatar official's support as Chair of the Gulf Cooperation Council is crucial. “This summit will be an opportunity to elevate our partnership and political dialogue to a strategic level. We will deepen our joint work in many areas: from renewable energy to the fight against climate change, trade and investments, and stepping up our exchanges and people-to-people contacts,” the EC president said.
