Chancellor: Germany supports Ukraine for its own security

Germany will continue to support Ukraine, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said, Report informs.

The chancellor accused Moscow of violating the principle of inviolability of borders by using force: "We are all working for a more peaceful world but peace without freedom means oppression, and there can be no peace without justice. Therefore, we support Ukraine in its struggle for a just world. We do it for our own safety as well."

Germany is the largest supplier of arms to Ukraine after the US. In total, Germany has committed approximately 28 billion euros in military support to Ukraine.
