CENTCOM says two US service members killed in Jordan

Two US service members were killed in action in Jordan on July 17 as US Central Command and partner forces defended against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks, CENTCOM said, Report informs, citing its post on X.

One US service member is currently missing, according to the statement.

CENTCOM said four American service members were medically evacuated to hospitals in Jordan and have since been discharged.

Other personnel evaluated for minor injuries have returned to duty.

CENTCOM said it would withhold additional information, including the identities of those killed, until 24 hours after their next of kin have been notified, out of respect for the families.
