The Central Election Commission of Ukraine officially declared Volodymyr Zelensky the winner of the presidential election, Report informs citing RIA Novosti.
"According to the results of the second vote on April 21, 2019 ... the presidential candidate is Vladimir Zelensky, a candidate for the presidency of Ukraine," Chairman of the CEC of Ukraine Tatyana Slipachuk said at the meeting.
According to her, Zelensky won 73.22% of the votes in the second round, while the current president, Petro Poroshenko got only 24.45%.
