Car plunges into crowd in northeastern China

A passenger car plunged into a crowd of people on the pedestrian passage in the northeast of China, leaving four people dead and three more injured, according to the website of local police.

Report informs, citing TASS, that the incident occurred at 11:47 local time at the intersection of streets when a black car plunged into a crowd of dozens of people who were crossing the road in the right place. The vehicle then fled the scene.

The police said the driver - a 31-year-old man - has been detained. An investigation is underway.
