Bus accident in India сlaims 12 lives

At least 12 people have lost their lives and more than 20 others sustained injuries when a bus collided with a motorcycle in the central Indian state of Maharashtra.

Report informs via TASS that the bus was carrying 35 passengers when the driver attempted to avoid a collision with a motorcycle, causing the vehicle to overturn. The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital, with some reported to be in critical condition.

India has consistently ranked among the world's top countries for road accidents and fatalities. Ministry of Road Transport data reveals that approximately 1.53 million Indians have fallen victim to road accidents between 2013 and 2024. This staggering figure is attributed to factors such as high traffic density, inadequate infrastructure, and poor adherence to traffic rules.
