Bulgaria pledges €18,400 to restore Ukraine's damaged telecom networks

Bulgaria's technical government has approved a voluntary contribution of 34,800 levs (approximately €18,400) to a special fund established for the restoration of Ukraine's damaged telecommunications infrastructure.

According to Report, which cites TASS, the funds will be allocated from the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to a government press release, this decision aligns with the Bulgarian parliament's resolution from November 2022, which declared that supporting the reconstruction of Ukraine's economy, infrastructure, and energy sector is a foreign policy priority for Bulgaria.

Furthermore, the Bulgarian government has authorized the participation of Bulgarian military personnel in NATO operations aimed at providing security assistance and training to Ukrainians within the alliance's territory. This decision reaffirms Bulgaria's solidarity with the collective efforts to maintain international peace and security.
