Bulgaria elects new prime minister

The Parliament of Bulgaria has elected a 60-year-old member of the National Assembly Nikolai Denkov as the new prime minister of the country, Report informs via Bulgarian media.

Denkov represents the We Continue the Change and Democratic Bulgaria coalitions.

As many as 132 MPs voted for Denkov, while 69 voted against, and there were no abstentions.

Earlier it was reported that the winners of the parliamentary elections in Bulgaria, the parties Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) and the Union of Democratic Forces (SDS), received the right to form a new government. Bulgarian President Rumen Radev handed over the corresponding mandate to the applicant from the GERB-SDS coalition.
