The European Commission has developed and proposed to EU countries “advanced security guarantees” for Ukraine, which consist of expanding the European Peace Facility to finance new arms supplies; the decision will be made at the EU summit on December 14-15, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell, Report informs
“On Ukraine, we will present advanced security guarantees, which will be brought to the EU summit later this week. Ministers will also discuss how to proceed with the proposal to expand our support,” Borrell said.
“Ministers must give me the authority to present at the summit our security guarantees, which mainly consist of expanding the European Peace Facility and coordinating bilateral agreements between EU countries and Ukraine,” he added.
