Borrell: EU cuts Russian gas supplies to 6%

The EU countries have already got rid of their energy dependence on Russia, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said in an interview with Onda Cero radio station, Report informs referring to foreign media.

“Before, 40% of gas came from Russia, now it’s 6%, and they won’t find a customer for this gas,” he said.

He added that despite the sanctions imposed by the EU, last year was not bad for the Russian economy, as energy prices rose. But now prices are back to pre-war levels in Ukraine, he noted.
