European Union (EU) member countries have so far sent about 30 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine through bilateral agreements and the European Peace Facility, said Josep Borrell, the high representative of the EU for foreign affairs and security policy, Report informs.

He said that thanks to this assistance, Ukraine was able to resist Russia: "US military assistance is more important. But the EU has provided much more aid to Ukraine than the United States."

Borrell said that EU assistance to Kyiv will continue: "It should be like that. Because Russia poses a strategic threat to the EU."
