Blinken to visit countries of Southeast Asia & Africa

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Cambodia, Rwanda, the Philippines and South Africa on August 2-12, during the tour he intends to discuss the situation around Ukraine, reads a written statement by US State Department Spokesperson Ned Price, Report informs referring to TASS.

On August 3-5, the secretary of state in Phnom Penh (Cambodia) will take part in meetings of the heads of foreign affairs agencies in the formats of the United States - ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), the East Asia Summit (EAS) and the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF). Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will also be in Phnom Penh on August 4-5. The State Department does not report any possible meetings between the foreign ministers of the two countries.
