Blinken says US would 'not rest' until Paul Whelan detained in Russia is back home

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken marked five years on Wednesday since Russian authorities detained former Marine Paul Whelan, saying the country would "not rest" until he is back home.

Whelan was detained on December 28, 2018 and is serving a 16-year sentence for spying, a charge the US government says is without merit.
