US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has arrived in Israel, Report informs referring to TASS.
Upon arrival, the chief of the US diplomacy will go to Jerusalem, where he is scheduled to hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and then the President of the Jewish state, Isaac Herzog, will also receive him there. As expected, the main topic of the meetings will be the search for a way to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Blinken is on a Middle East tour from January 29 to 31, which he began with a visit to Egypt. After Israel, he also plans to visit the West Bank and meet with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas there. The head of US diplomacy intends to hold talks with the Palestinians and Israelis that would help reduce tensions in the region.
