Biden arrives in Bethlehem to meet with Abbas

US President Joe Biden arrived in Bethlehem on Friday to meet with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, Report informs, citing TASS.

A total of 1,500 Palestinian security officials ensure the security for Biden's visit to the West Bank. The day before, banners condemning Israel's actions in the Palestinian territories appeared in Bethlehem. One of them, addressed to the head of the White House, reads: "Mr. President, this is apartheid."

At this moment, the official meeting ceremony is underway at the residence of the Palestinian leader. Journalists covering the event were forbidden to ask any questions following the talks.
