Belarus leader blames West for plotting provocation

"The West is continuing to interfere in the internal affairs of Belarus in order to change the government," President of Belarus Alyaksandr Lukashenka told the media, Report informs, citing TASS.

"As you know, the failed coup attempt did not change the enemy's plans. The West continues to interfere in the internal affairs of our country. The most dangerous thing for us would be the loss of independence," he said.

The president said that the West is planning to sabotage Belarus's defense and economic facilities. In his opinion, there is a need for the State Security Service to increase the efficiency of the activities as well as intelligence capacity.
