Bangladesh police end strike amid ongoing unrest

The Bangladesh Police Subordinate Staff Association has appointed new leadership and called off their strike, ensuring law enforcement officers return to their duties.

According to Report, Abdullahel Baki, the organization's president, announced the decision to journalists, stating, "We are dissolving the previous committee of the Bangladesh Police Association and declaring the formation of a new committee. We will swiftly get to work and serve the public."

The police in Bangladesh had declared a strike on Tuesday to ensure their safety. According to the association, police stations across Bangladesh became targets for miscreants following the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government. The organization recalled that around 450 police stations were attacked, and numerous police officers were killed in the country.
