Israel has asked the Trump administration over the past 48 hours to join the war with Iran in order to eliminate its nuclear program, Report informs via Axios, which cites two Israeli officials.
An Israeli official claimed to Axios that the US might join the operation, and that President Trump even suggested he'd do so if necessary in a recent conversation with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
An Israeli source also told Axios that the United States is considering Israel's request to join the confrontation with Iran. He added that Israeli authorities are hopeful that President Trump will agree.
However, a US official confirmed to the outlet that Israel has indeed urged the Trump administration to enter the conflict, but emphasized that the administration is not considering this option at this time.
