Austria confirms record daily new COVID-19 cases

Austria reported a new anti-record for the daily increase in coronavirus cases a day after starting the second lockdown – 6.2 thousand new infections, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.

The second lockdown in a year began in Austria on November 3 at midnight. This time it is relaxed - absolutely all stores and the service sector will continue to work. Restaurants, hotels, theaters, museums, and movies are closing again.

The autumn lockdown innovation in Austria is the restriction on leaving the house from 20.00 to 6.00 the next day. It is not full curfew, but people can be on the street at this time only for several good reasons.

Austria has recorded 125,099 COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic. Of those, 77,036 recovered, while 1,227 patients fell victim to the virus. Currently, there are 2,584 patients in the country's hospitals.
