Australia, Indonesia to hold joint drills in Java

Members of the Australian Armed Forces will take part in an exercise conducted by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense in early September, according to the press service of the Australian Defense Ministry, Report informs referring to TASS.

More than 120 Australian military personnel will take part in the Super Garuda Shield exercises, which will be held in the east of the island of Java.

Canberra will also send a unit of M1A1 Abrams tanks, an infantry platoon, as well as a number of armored vehicles, trucks and recovery vehicles.
