At least 68 killed in shooting attack in Nigeria

Suspected gunmen attacked four communities in Kauru Local Government Area of Nigeria’s Kaduna State, killing 68 people, setting 63 houses ablaze, and destroying 68 hectares of farmland, Report informs, citing the Nigerian Daily Post.

The killings and destructions took place in Ungwan Magaji, Kishicho, Kigam, and Kikoba villages of Kauru LGA.

The State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who gave details of the attack that occurred Monday/Tuesday night, further named those affected, details of casualties in each community.

While reacting to the killings, Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir ERufai, condoled the families of those killed in the attack, prayed for the repose of the victims’ souls. He also wished the injured victims a quick recovery.
