Syrian President Bashar al-Assad intends to visit Iran at the first opportunity to meet with Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Report informs referring to TASS.
He made the remark in a telephone conversation with the acting President of the Islamic Republic Mohammad Mokhber.
“I would very much like to be with the Iranian people during these days, to meet with the Supreme Leader and personally express my condolences to him. In this regard, I will go to Iran at the first opportunity to express my condolences and contribute to strengthening political ties between the two countries,” IRNA quotes him as saying.
