The Armenians who attacked Azerbaijani and Turkish diplomats at the conference “The Role of Public Diplomacy in Turkish Foreign Policy” held on September 29 in Los Angeles, California, will be arrested, Report informs via TRT News.
An investigation is underway into an attack by radical Armenian groups on an event where the Turkish Ambassador in Washington and the Consul General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles Ramil Gurbanov spoke.
The chief inspector of the Los Angeles Police Department's major crimes unit noted that the Turkish diplomats were beaten in front of the building by a group of men and women of Armenian origin. He said three people were being investigated.
A police spokesman stressed that the incident was a matter of grave concern and those responsible would be arrested.
The attackers also shouted insults at Azerbaijan and Türkiye. The provocation lasted about 10 minutes, then police officers took them out of the hall.
