Armenian parliament committee approves regulations for border delimitation commissions

The Foreign Relations Committee of the National Assembly of Armenia has given the green light to the working regulations for the commissions tasked with delimiting the country's border with Azerbaijan.

Report informs via Armnian media that the approved framework has been forwarded for ratification during the legislative body's plenary session scheduled for Tuesday.

The ruling party parliamentarians - five in total - voted in favor of the regulations, while three opposition deputies cast their votes against the motion.

The regulations outline the organization of delimitation work, the adoption of relevant documents, the preparation of a protocol describing the intersection of state borders, the creation of a delimitation map of an appropriate scale, and the functioning of expert groups.

On September 26, the Constitutional Court of Armenia issued a ruling regarding the working regulations for the Armenian and Azerbaijani commissions on border delimitation.
