United Arab Emirates astronaut Sultan al-Neyadi has been selected for a mission to spend six months aboard the International Space Station (ISS), the official WAM news agency reported on Monday.
Report informs, citing foreign media, that al-Netadi will take part in the NASA mission which plans to set off in the spring of 2023.
Al-Neyadi underwent intensive training, including training at the Johnson Space Center in the United States; by the time of the start, the total time he spent on training will reach five years.
