Consumer prices in the US in January rose by 3.1% in annual terms compared to 3.4% a month earlier, according to a press release from the country’s Department of Labor, Report informs.
In monthly terms, prices rose 0.3% in January after rising 0.2% in December.
Analysts surveyed by DailyFX expected an annual rate of 2.9%, and a monthly rate of 0.2%.
