Ambassador: 'Azerbaijan's stand attracted many visitors at charity fair in Riga'

Azerbaijan's stand at the Christmas Charity Bazaar in Riga, Latvia, aroused great interest among visitors, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Latvia Elnur Sultanov told Report.

He noted that Azerbaijan was represented at the event with a colorful stand prepared with the support of its State Tourism Agency.

Videos about Azerbaijan's tourism opportunities aroused great interest among visitors, the ambassador stressed. Azerbaijani products were also presented, including a wide selection of kelaghayi scarves. The traditional art of making kelaghayi and wearing it was included in the UNESCO Intangible Heritage List.

Also, the exhibition guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with Azerbaijani literature, colorful books such as "Leyli and Majnun", "Seven Beauties" by Nizami Ganjavi and others. Souvenirs in the form of Azerbaijani national musical instruments enjoyed particular attention.

Those who visited the bazaar could buy Azerbaijani wines, sweets and tea, and the corner of Azerbaijan, where tea was served from a traditional samovar, became one of the most visited at the fair.

All proceeds from the Christmas Market organized by The International Women's Club of Riga will go to Latvian charities. In addition to Azerbaijan, Georgia, Italy, France, Denmark, Lithuania were also represented at the event.
