Almost 160 people charged over riots in Britain

Almost 160 people in the UK have been charged with misconduct in the unrest that erupted across the country after an attack on children in Southport, England, Report informs.

“Our teams continue to work around the clock, along with the police, to charge people as quickly as possible and ensure justice is served, following recent public disorder. As of today, we have charged 159 people,” the Crown Prosecution Service wrote on X.

In late July, mass protests erupted in many cities across Britain after a 17-year-old teenager attacked children with a knife in Southport city. Three children were killed, and several more and two adults were taken to hospital in critical condition.
