Global Covid deaths top 2 million

The number of COVID-19 deaths worldwide surpassed two million as cases neared 100 million.

According to Worldometer, a website that provides real-time statistics for the pandemic, global fatalities topped two million on Friday morning.

The United States has the largest number of deaths globally, with over 397-thousand, followed by Brazil, India, Mexico, and Britain.

The combined number of COVID-19 cases worldwide, which stands at 93-point-five million, is expected to surpass 100 million shortly.
