Abu Dhabi adds Azerbaijan to COVID green list

The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (UAE) has added Azerbaijan to the safe travel destinations list, Report informs via foreign media.

The department has updated the list of safe travel destinations and reduced the number of "green" countries from 95 to 73.

Travelers arriving in the UAE from green countries are not required to undergo quarantine. The new rules took effect on December 26. The updates are said to have been made due to the worsening epidemiological situation in some countries.

The list of safe countries also includes Belarus, Georgia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Travelers are required to take the PCR test 48 hours before departure to enter Abu Dhabi.

Unvaccinated passengers must take another coronavirus test on the ninth day of their stay in Abu Dhabi; otherwise, access to public areas will be closed to them.
