The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Germany increased by 378 over the past day, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.
According to Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for infectious diseases, while nine more fell victim to the virus.
According to the institute, 179,364 cases of coronavirus were registered during the whole COVID-19 pandemic in Germany,
So far, Germany has recorded 186,839 COVID-19 cases, while a total of 8 800 patients died of the virus.
Bavaria (47 690), North Rhine-Westphalia (39 415) and Baden-Württemberg (35 150) saw the largest number of positive cases.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to 210 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
