About 10,000 tons of humanitarian cargo delivered from Germany to Ukraine

About 10,000 tons of humanitarian cargo have been delivered to Ukraine from Germany in two weeks, German Minister of Transport Volker Wissing said, Report informs.

“Freight trains do not travel to cities where fighting is taking place, but stop near them. From there, humanitarian aid is distributed,” he said. “Humanitarian trains started running two weeks ago, and since then we have transported 10,000 tons of food, beverages and hygiene items from Germany to Ukraine.”

Wissing noted that the distribution of Ukrainian refugees should not be a “Polish-German problem,” it should be fairly distributed among the EU countries.

“Transportation to France, Spain, Greece, Denmark should be organized by train or plane,” the minister added.
