Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has left for China to attend a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Report informs referring to Iranian media.
The official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baghaei said that Araghchi's visit to China is being carried out at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. During the summit, the head of Iranian diplomacy will present Tehran's positions and views on key issues on the regional and international agenda.
In addition, he plans to hold bilateral meetings with a number of foreign ministers participating in the event. The main topic of the meeting is the coordination of efforts of member states and preparation for upcoming events within the SCO. The meeting is being held in the city of Tianjin.
