7.0 magnitude earthquake jolts Philippines

A massive 7.0 earthquake has hit Philippines, Report informs, citing the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

Initially the center reported the magnitude 6.9 earthquake, but then increased it to 7.0.

The underground tremor was recorded at 08:14 UTC time on Friday 57 kilometers southeast of the city of General-Santos. The seismic focus was at a depth of 57 kilometers.

There has yet been no reports of casualties and destruction.
