Nearly 60,000 Russians enter Finland after announcement of partial mobilization

After the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia, the number of Russian citizens who entered Finland has increased, Russian Ambassador to Helsinki Pavel Kuznetsov said on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel, Report informs.

He noted that about 60,000 Russian citizens have entered Finland, 80% of whom are in transit to other European countries.

“According to the migration service, over the past week, somewhere around 100 people who entered Russia from Finland applied with an asylum application. The Finns, as announced, will consider these applications in a general manner,” Kuznetsov said.

Since September 30, Finland has banned Russian tourists from entering the country.
