At least 30 new cases of the novel coronavirus were confirmed in Tokyo on Tuesday, informed sources said.
The daily number of infections topped 30 in the Japanese capital for the first time since May 14.
According to the latest data, the number of people infected with coronavirus in Japan, including passengers and crew of the Diamond Princess cruise ship, exceeded 17.6 thousand people, 911 people died. In total, about 15 thousand people recovered in the country, 116 are still in serious condition in intensive care wards. An emergency regime was lifted last week throughout Japan.
