Mongolia’s Anti-Corruption Agency plans to take statements from three of the country’s former prime ministers as part of a coal theft probe, Report informs referring to the Mongolian media.
Sukhbaataryn Batbold, Jargaltulgyn Erdenebat and Sanjaagiin Bayar were called to the department on December 20. The three previously headed the government of Mongolia.
Investigations are ongoing into 50 people likely linked to the theft of coal in Mongolia.
Other details of the investigation have not yet been released. It is known that the three suspects called to the agency worked in different periods, from 2007 to 2017.
Earlier, ex-president of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga was summoned for questioning in this case.
