18 injured as truck crashes into bridge in Germany

At least 18 people were injured in northern Germany after a truck crashed into a bridge, according to the DPA agency, Report informs via TASS.

Local police reported that the incident occurred around 07:00 Moscow time on the A1 autobahn near the town of Stapelfeld (federal state of Schleswig-Holstein).

According to preliminary data, the truck had a tire burst, after which it crashed into the bridge.

Five more vehicles were damaged as a result of the accident. The highway is currently closed to traffic in both directions.
