103 Czechs allowed to join Ukrainian armed forces

Czech President Milos Zeman has permitted 103 citizens of the republic to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces, ČTK news agency reported on Wednesday, citing the press service of the head of state.

Report informs citing TASS that the document, according to which Zeman allowed 103 citizens to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, must also be signed by the Prime Minister of the Republic, Petr Fiala. Czech law prohibits citizens from serving in foreign military or paramilitary units without the consent of the head of state. This requirement also applies to foreigners who have a residence permit in the republic.
