100 more people evacuated in southern France due to forest fires

The southwest of France continues fighting fires raging in the green areas of the Gironde department near the Atlantic coast. About a thousand firefighters and six special aircraft are working on the spot.

Report informs citing France Bleu that there are two fire centers - in the area of ​​Arcachon Bay and near the town of Landiras, south of Bordeaux. By Wednesday night, July 13, about a hundred more people were evacuated because of the threat to their homes.

More than 3,800 hectares of territory have been burned since Tuesday evening when the fires started.
