Over the past week, missile and drone strikes on Odesa, southwestern Ukraine, from the Black Sea and Russian-annexed Crimea have intensified.
The missile attacks on Odesa, about 300 kilometers from Crimea, are increasing against the background of the fact that Russian troops are being repulsed from Ukraine's Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. For this reason, the city's defense, both air and land, has been strengthened in recent days. The streets of Odesa, where sirens went off at least three times a day, have become defense fortifications. Nevertheless, Russia continues to launch missile attacks, including Iskander M missiles. Most of them are intercepted by the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces.
