Vice-speaker of Pakistani parliament: Azerbaijan has become a developing state

Azerbaijan has become a developing state that has established its own identity, Vice-Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly, Zahid Akram, said at a special session of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) on the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of Natoinal Leader Heydar Aliyev held on May 16, Report informs.

“We want the ties between the two countries to become stronger and friendly relations to increase. Heydar Aliyev duly fulfilled his obligations to his people, and his legacy continues to develop for the sake of the country's future. Heydar Aliyev was a prominent figure in the history of Azerbaijan. He was a leader in a very difficult period of Azerbaijan and brought his country out of difficulties. Despite all the difficulties, Azerbaijan has embarked on the path of development and prosperity and continues this work today. Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation for the development of Azerbaijan's foreign policy, economy, and the foundation of effective state administration since the 60s of the last century,” he said.
