The 9th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TURKPA) will be held in Baku on December 18. Before the session, the Assembly Council will hold a meeting and the chairmanship of the organization will be transferred from the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the Milli Majlis.
Delegations led by the Parliamentary Speakers of the Member States, as well as representatives of Turkish cooperation agencies and international organizations will attend the event.
The agenda of the plenary session includes the reports and recommendations of the TURKPA Permanent Commission meetings, adoption of model laws, the report of the International Observer Mission on the early presidential elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the adoption of legal documents by the organization.
The Baku Declaration will be adopted at the end of the event.
