A delegation led by the Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova is visiting Saint Petersburg on April 14 to participate in the spring session of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly.
Report informs that the delegation includes MPs Nizami Safarov, Arzu Naghiyev, Amina Aghazade, Mikhail Zabelin, Emin Hajiyev, Office Head of the Parliament Safa Mirzeyev, and other officials.
There will be held the Council meeting, the 52nd Plenary Session, and meetings of the permanent commissions.
The Council meeting will focus on the issues to be discussed in the session. The plenary meeting will include discussions on “legal regulation of the migration processes during the pandemic and role of parliaments of the CIS countries in this process”. The MPs will comment on the issues to be discussed at the meetings of permanent commissions.
The Azerbaijani delegation will also attend the international parliamentary conference on “global challenges and threats in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Terrorism and violent extremism.”
The Chairperson of the Parliament Sahiba Gafarova is expected to meet with the heads of delegations.
The visit will end on April 16.
