Parliaments of Azerbaijan and New Caledonia ink memorandum of cooperation

The parliaments of Azerbaijan and New Caledonia signed a memorandum of cooperation.

Report informs that during the signing, Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova said that this document is important from the point of view of forming a legal basis for the development of relations between parliaments and will determine the framework for further cooperation.

According to the memorandum, the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis takes into account the right of the people of New Caledonia to self-determination and will inform the international community about the issue.

Also, the Milli Majlis and the Congress will develop inter-parliamentary cooperation for the sake of strengthening friendly relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and New Caledonia.

In addition, the memorandum envisages the establishment of permanent relations between commissions, committees, and bodies of legislative bodies and the mutual visits of delegations of MPs.
