A meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Relations was held, Report informs, adding that one issue was included in the agenda of the meeting.
At the meeting of the committee, the draft amendments to the law "On compulsory insurance of persons serving in the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in foreign countries and international organizations" were submitted to the deputies for discussion.
According to the proposed amendment to the bill, if employees of diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan die as a result of an individual accident or suffer damage to their health, they will be paid 15 percent of the insurance amount. The types of serious, minor, and minor injuries will be determined in accordance with the list approved by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority.
The draft amendment also reflects the procedure for payment of insurance benefits to employees of diplomatic missions and administrative and service personnel serving in diplomatic missions and consulates of Azerbaijan, determining the scope of persons serving in diplomatic missions and consulates of Azerbaijan to be covered by the compulsory insurance.
The bill was recommended to the plenary session of the parliament after discussions.
