The Parliament of Azerbaijan adopted amendments to the Tax Code in the first reading during Friday's plenary session.
According to Report, under current legislation, the import to Azerbaijan and sale of equipment and technical means, their spare parts, special software and ammunition used for defense and state security purposes are exempt from VAT based on a confirming document issued by the relevant executive authority.
According to the amendments, the General Prosecutor's Office will also be granted the authority to issue such confirming documents.
