Parliament approves bill envisaging fine for smoking in taxi

Baku. 2 October. REPORT.AZ/ The draft amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences have been discussed at yesterday's plenary session of the Milli Majlis.

Report informs that the amendment envisages application of fines for smoking.

According to Article 322 (Violation of passenger and luggage transportation rules by a vehicle), regular penalties in the amount of AZN 40-50 will be imposed on those who smoke on regular bus routes (inner-city), inter-city and international routes. The fine will also be applied to smokers on a public transport vehicle and a taxi car.

The project was approved through voting.
