MP: Factory built by Armenia on border with Nakhchivan can pose not only ecological but also military threat

Armenia is building a large metallurgical plant with a production capacity of 180,000 tons per year in the village of Arazadeyen on the border with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on an area of 16,500 square meters with US financial assistance, Elshad Mirbashir, a member of the Milli Majlis, said at the plenary meeting of the extraordinary session of the parliament, Report informs.

He said that this plant could pose not only environmental but also military threat in the future:

"Therefore, we must take serious steps to prevent future military-political threat and discuss it."
