MoU on training of Azerbaijani and Turkish special forces approved

Today's meeting of the Milli Majlis discussed the draft law "On approval of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on the training of special forces of the Azerbaijani Army and the Turkish Armed Forces".

This MoU is valid for 1 (one) year and shall be extended for another year unless one of the parties notifies the other party in writing through diplomatic channels at least 90 (ninety) days before the expiration of the MoU.

According to the document, the delegation of the sending country will leave with enough medicine and equipment for a pre-determined period of relocation.

The host country will provide emergency medical services and emergency evacuation services free of charge to the staff of the sending country. The insurance premiums of the team of the sending country will be paid by the sending government or the staff of the sending country.

The host country will notify the sending country in case of injury or death. In the event of death, the host country will coordinate with the sending state before the procedure or autopsy to ensure that the policy of the sending government is followed. A representative of the sending country (preferably a doctor) has the authority to attend the autopsy and obtain a copy of the final autopsy report.

After discussions, the document was put to the vote and adopted.
